Mission of the American Nystagmus Network

The American Nystagmus Network (ANN) is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all persons and families affected by nystagmus. Through American Nystagmus Network programs such as our biennial conference, Nystagmus November awareness month, and scholarship opportunities, along with other community support initiatives, we strive to ensure that no one navigates life with nystagmus alone.

ANN Biennial Conference

Since our inaugural meeting in 1999, ANN has brought together individuals with nystagmus, families, educators, and medical professionals through our ANN Biennial Conference gatherings. These events create meaningful spaces for connection, shared experiences, and expert education. Learn more about our upcoming initiatives, past conference archives, and how we are shaping future community gatherings.

Nystagmus November

Designated by ANN as a month-long celebration and awareness campaign, Nystagmus November provides a vibrant platform for our community to raise awareness and support our mission. Throughout November, we host virtual meet-ups, live community panels, silent auctions, and school-based awareness initiatives to foster connection and empower individuals of all ages.

ANN Scholarship Program

To help students diagnosed with nystagmus achieve their academic and career aspirations, ANN established an annual scholarship program. We award multiple financial scholarships—including the dedicated Mike Arm Scholarship—to support students pursuing full-time undergraduate, graduate, or vocational education at accredited institutions across the United States.
