2013 Conference
Orlando, Florida
ANN held its eighth biennial conference from July 12 through 14, 2013 at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Over 100 people attended this conference, making it the most successful conference in our history. Highlights included Dr. Hertle’s keynote, several targeted discussion panels, sessions on IEPs, driving, living with Nystagmus, assistive technology, dealing with Nystagmus as adults, and creating confidence in children. In addition, plenty of time was allocated to networking, this having been a request from past conferences.
During Friday Night’s Reception, several presentations were made with regard to what ANN had done in the past year and where ANN is headed in the next several years.
One of our Board members – Tony Furher had run a Golf Tournament for the last several years to help raise money and awareness for ANN. He presented the ANN with a check for $15,500.
We were also honored to have John Sanders from the UK Nystagmus Network attend the conference and offer the ANN Board and ANN membership some of the insight gained and their experience in growing their organization.
