On June 23, 24 people gathered together in New Jersey to meet, talk, share, learn, and inspire! The first ANN Regional Gathering was held today for the northeast region. We welcomed people from New York, Washington DC, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
For the kids, Camp Nystagmus provided a day’s worth of activities. The kids got a chance to meet other kids with nystagmus, learned about nystagmus and how to talk about it with others, and simply had fun! Check out some pictures from the camp!
Meanwhile, the parents and adults with nystagmus had a chance for an in-depth discussion. Topics included the challenges of nystagmus, tips and tricks for living and succeeding with nystagmus, as well as nystagmus at school and work.
At the end of the day, everyone got a chance to give us feedback on the event, and on what ANN could do to support them in the future. Overall, it was a great event, and we are really looking forward to our next regional gatherings in St. Louis and Northern California!
